This weekend at the Bozeman Public library, the Gallatin Valley Interfaith Association and Gallatin Valley Human Rights Council will gather, and everyone's invited for what they're calling a "Respecting the Sacred" event.
The event starts Sunday at 2 p.m. when for about an hour, people will read from various faith traditions. Also planned is a prayer for men and women in the armed services. Bozeman Mayor Jeff Krauss is also scheduled to be there.
White doves will be released during a ceremony Saturday at 7:30 a.m. at the Central Valley Fire Department, remembering the September 11th attack in New York nine years ago. It's part of a national effort called White Wings Over America, which will release more than 3,000 white doves simultaneously across the nation at noon Eastern Time, or 10 a.m. Mountain Time.
