Four people fall from a lift at Big Sky. The accident happened yesterday afternoon shortly after 1pm.

Big Sky officials say an instructor and three students fell from the Ramcharger lift. Because of a special event taking place, the ski patrol was on hand when the accident happened and was able to respond immediately. There were no apparent serious injuries, but the victims were taken to Bozeman deaconess as a precaution. According to Big Sky, this kind of accident is rare.

"Its not a thing that you see a lot. I mean that's partly why we're launching a full investigation, to figure out what happened, what did cause this. So, we've got our mountain operations team looking into it, we've got our ski patrol, they're talking to witnesses and people involved, everybody that was there to try and figure it out." said Chad Jones, Big Sky PR Manager.

The new soft snow may have prevented any serious injuries.
