Bobby made the trek from just north of Washington, D.C. to Butte in December 2011 after covering professional and college sports in the D.C. area for three years.

In D.C. he was a reporter for the Washington Capitals Radio Network during the 2010-2011 season, and covered his hometown Nationals, Wizards, and Redskins through various freelancing opportunities starting in 2009. He is a proud graduate of the American University School of Communication. Bobby also called Virginia high school football and basketball games, including the 2010 Division I and II football state championships and the 2011 state basketball tournament.
